smoothlighting:

• use glass PANES rather than blocks whenever possible! itll look more detailed and have more dimension
• put vines all over it . just Do it
• trapdoors over glowstone!
• uniform roof looks BORING! dont make it just simple a-frame, add some character!!
• fences….on outside walls
• glass panes can be a barrier like a fence!
• they can also be used to separate areas of a house when u dont wanna make complete separate rooms
• line upper inner walls with stairs to make it less harsh of an angle
• doors can be annoying! consider making a fence around ur house and leaving the doorway open – you’ll have way more freedom in what it looks like that way
• PALETTE!!! come up with the blocks ur gonna use before building, esp for making whole towns!
• that being said, vary which blocks go where a little! maybe say “on some the roof will be cobble and the floor will be wood, and on others the roof will be wood and floor will be cobble”
• build more aquariums i like looking at them
• literally when in doubt just add vines and/or flowers
