Honestly I’m not even a fan of NatSoc, but Nazi officer aesthetic is the fucking best.

Honestly though.

That’s gotta be the most anticlimactic sentence to ever start with, “I’m not a Nazi, but…”

Sorry to disappoint.

It is though. The image of a respectable decorated German man dressed in black fatigues is a thing to behold.

I honestly just really love Nazi aesthetic in general (like the red and black and the uniforms 👌)
Too bad they were fucking nuts

Nazi uniforms were explicitly designed to look good.

So much so that they were entirely impractical.  From @prokopetz

Let me give you an example: suspenders. Back in the 1930s, the modern tactical harness hadn’t yet been developed. Instead, soldiers would wear a sturdy pair of leather suspenders in order to help distribute the weight of their ammo belts (which could be substantial – bullets aren’t light!). Hitler didn’t care for that – he thought it would make his troops look like farmers. Instead, he commissioned his uniform designers to come up with a complicated system of internal suspenders that could be worn under the uniform jacket, with metal hooks projecting from special holes near the jacket’s waistline. The idea was that the ammo belt would rest on the hooks, thus allowing it to be supported without disrupting the jacket’s clean lines.

The problem? The system’s designers, being accustomed to crafting for the runway, had completely overlooked that soldiers sometimes need to move quickly. At any pace quicker than a brisk walk, the ammo belt would bounce off of the hooks and slide down the wearer’s torso, often tripping him in the process. Worse, news of the issue didn’t filter back to the high command until the uniforms had already been widely distributed, so it was impossible to fix in an economical fashion. The Nazi troops eventually resorted to wearing external suspenders over the internal suspenders in order to keep their ammo belts in place, thus entirely defeating the purpose.

The link goes more in depth.  It’s hilarious.

Oh my god

So I decided to start reading Mein Kampf.
Honestly it’s just because I’m really interested in what he actually thought, and what happened in his life. Sometimes the things you learn online and at school are distorted to fit their view.
I’m planning on reading The Prince (Machiavelli) and some of Locke’s and Hobbes’ works honestly. I’m super interested in what these philosophers thought of politics.

I think it has loads of that Jews are evil stuff

Try not to get sucked into Jew hating pls

I don’t think my politics are going to change much, if at all, by a book written almost a century ago lmao.
It’s honestly weird because so far (he’s about 15 in how he’s describing himself currently) is me politically.

He’s a socialist tho

And he hates Jews

It’ll change over time you’ll see

Just as long as you don’t become a fuckwad like him then it’s okay.

He is a worthless piece of crap though.

@literally–hitler

hurtful words, bros.

stepping out of character for a moment: hitler was not a dumb man. you dont become as much of an ideological influence as him by being a moron. & unlike marx, who was a library dwelling nerd severely lacking in actual life experience, hed lived a very unsheltered life. he had some insights that were actually pretty spot on.

like marx though, he had this massive flaw that colored everything he did & snowballed into some of the greatest evils of the 20th century. unlike marx, he personally implemented those evils.

in hitlers case it was his massive persecution complex. his “everything bad that happens to me & the stuff i like is the result of an evil conspiracy” mindset.

he was also an arrogant prick who thought he was the only smart person in the world, but thats to be expected from most philosophers & politicians.

@lovely-luxray

@obsidian-disorder

@pie-the-memelord

Actually , Hitler was not dumb , he was probably mentally deficient :

-He decided to fight a 2 front war ( When he said he would not do it because he wanted to be better than Napoleon )

-He attacked Russia during Winter ( When he said he would not do it because he wanted to be better than Napoleon )

-He banned the production of the first assault rifle and more modern aircrafts .

-He declared war on the U.S. ( Which would later bring every American country into the war ) when he had no reason to do so besides that one pact with Japan ( When he was famous for breaking treaties ) .What , you did not want to upset Mister Hirohito ? .

-He appointed Goring as the leader of the Luftwaffe for Britain’s invasion when he knew Goring was only the party’s president and had no military experience .This ended up in Goring ordering attacks everywhere except concentrated spots , leaving zero casualties for the British and an absolute failure of an invasion .

-He invested no time or money on the Afrika Corps when he had one of the greatest military minds of History on the African theatre , resulting in a failure for the campaign .Said military mind ( Erwin Rommel , the Desert Fox , the Gentleman , etc ) would later be part of an assassination attempt on his life for ideological reasons .

um, goring did have military experience. he was a war hero from ww1. thats how he got so much cred in the nazi party to begin with.

other than that, yes, as a military commander hitler was a moron. but being dumb in one area doesnt make you stupid in every area. hitlers dumb military decisions stemmed, again, from him being a massively arrogant prick. he invaded russia becuz he had no respect for the russians as soldiers. his belief in german superiority was basically his religion & he believed they would beat the russians regardless of conditions becuz they were just so awesome. his other blunders stemmed from similar lines of thinking.

so you could say (in fact probably should say) hitler was delusional, but i wouldnt say thats the same thing as being stupid.

That moment when things get heated in the Hitler fandom XDD

oh no boy.

the actual hitler fandom is one big swastika-love-fest.

what we’re trying to do here is objective analysis.

difficult with someone like hitler, since saying anything beyond “he wuz evil, fuk him!” is often considered offensive

@yoosang-kim.

“one big swastika-love-fest” oh god I think i’m gonna pee, this is too funny. Well in that case carry on, I will be watching ya discourse from afar @literally–hitler.

Holy fuck what happened to my post
