storms in the US are getting so bad the national weather service just introduced new categories of severe thunderstorm warning–considerable damage and destructive damage. these are additional levels of severity to reflect stronger storms, and storms meeting these criteria will trigger emergency phone alerts for anyone in the area. changes go into effect august 2nd.
Itβs even funnier because I live in an area where tornadoes are REALLY common. And what usually happens when we see one is we drop everything and run outside to watch it. We keep an eye on it literally until it gets too dangerous. But for the most part we pull up a chair and watch it.
