Listen I hate all the big tech companies (Facebook, Google, Apple, Amazon, maybe throw Microsoft in there if I feel like it) and I hate Apple for various reasons ranging from actual issues with their business practices to petty bullshit, but Apple actually deserves some credit for being the easiest of the four horsemen to avoid by nature of its walled garden

I actually think Google is the worst, because it’s damn near impossible to avoid. You can swear of Apple, delete your Facebook and Amazon, and use strict ad and tracker blockers, but good fucking luck surviving in modern society without ever using a Google product

Ultimately though it doesn’t matter because the sooner governments around the world take anti-trust/anti-monopoly actions against these companies that actually hurt these companies in a meaningful way, the better.

Also I do not have the words to express how angry “people use our products because they want to/they’re the best” makes me. Yeah, Google, your search engine is the bets because you eat sensitive personal data for breakfast and buy out competitors. DuckDuckGo is garbage next to Google, but that’s because it actually respects users, lol.
