The notes on that Tik Tok/Stressed Out post are kind of a mess honestly.
Some person said TOP was better because it “saved lives”. I mean, I know it has, but at the same damn time, that doesn’t mean shit about the music quality. People have probably decided to stay alive because of Onision, and he’s a pile of shit, so it doesn’t really mean anything.
And then there’s the people that took it way, way too seriously and analyzed both songs to see which one was truly better.
It’s really just taste. You can say shit about whether it’s good or bad taste, but it’s just taste.
List of things we should stop romanticizing
-smoking cigarettes
-abusive relationships (theyre not fun)
-mental illness
-drinking alcohol
-self harm
-suicide
-eating disorders
none of these things are tragically beautiful or mysterious. Theyre painful and no one should ever want
