I know they said that SpongeBob will never get a girlfriend ( or a boyfriend ), but I don’t think he is even heterosexual because of episodes like “Karen’s Virus”. I ship ShelBob. I am still in shock that Plankton and SpongeBob called each other honey and sweetheart. This is almost canon.
I don’t really ship any SpongeBob characters but I can see the potential in ShelBob. It’s quite clear that Plankton doesn’t really hate SpongeBob and they do somewhat have a bit of a friendship
Also, I’ll say something that annoys me. It kinda bothers me when people say Plankton is SpongeBob’s enemy. He’s not, he’s Mr. Krabs’s enemy. SpongeBob just happens to get involved as he works at The Krusty Krab. Besides protecting the Krabby Patty, he and Plankton have no reason to be considered enemies
