Can we talk about the quick transitioning between emotions that Peter flashed through within a span of a few seconds before he died? He went from feeling confused while stuttering I don’t feel so good I don’t know what’s happening to panicking and no longer holding it together when he fell into Tony’s arms, holding on for dear life begging and shakily sobbing I don’t want to go Mr. Stark please I don’t want to go, to having a melancholic and almost eerily calm look on his face once he was laid upon the ground, almost as if he came to terms, using his last second to utter last words I’m sorry before fading away.

His death felt more agonizing, but not just because he was the youngest. It was the added touch that Tony wasn’t able to do anything to stop it from happening and the audience knowing his parental influence on Peter’s life. The time it took for Peter to fade felt slow, torturous. The other avengers had no time to react. The scene still rings through my ears so I can’t imagine how Tony feels.

Kudos to Tom for his amazing acting as it was entirely improvised. Sheds a light on his talents.
