Unlike most carpetsharks, whale sharks are pelagic- they live out in the open ocean, rather than on the ocean floor.
The largest Pacific sleeper shark verified measured 4.4 m (14 ft) long and weighed 888 kg (1,958 lb).
Blue sharks often move rather slowly, but are capable of rapid movement when excited or feeding.
Shark teeth are coated in fluoride. This combined with the regular loss and replacement of teeth means they don’t have to worry about cavities like we do.

The brown shyshark is found up to depths of around 133 m (436 ft) in shallow, temperate waters on rocky reefs, and is reported to rest on the bottom during the day.
