apparently at one point after it was discovered stibnite was made into utensils because it’s a nice silvery material, so people would use it to make silverware to eat with!
…and then they probably died! because it contains antimony. which gives similar effects to arsenic poisoning! whoops!
speaking of arsenic…
this one is called realgar! it’s basically just pretty arsenic! it also used to be used as a red pigment but not so much nowadays cause it’ll give you Cancer™!!!!

AND YET PEOPLE COLLECT THIS CAUSE HAHA PRETTY CRYSTAL…. YOU CAN BUY THIS AND JUST HAVE IT IN YOUR HOUSE??? THIS RADIOACTIVE ASS MOTHERFUCKER??? it emits radon gas which can give you lung cancer!! this rock will kick your ass!! it has to be kept in a special way to prevent it from Killing You. apparently it either needs to be in a well ventilated place (that you DONT hang out in) OR some sort of specialized air-tight container to prevent the radon gas from escaping
except.
if you do either of those things. the rock can DEHYDRATE FASTER. because it can do that. and then it reaches its FINAL FORM

torbernite…. 2!!!! just as radioactive but now Uglier!!! better water your radioactive rocks or they’ll fucking dry out!!!!
torbernite is so fucked up i love it. sticks and stones can break your bones but actually some stones will just give you cancer and mercury poisoning instead no bone breakage required 😀
