I was reading the church of covid subreddit and they were all discussing soyboys virtue signaling w their vax status on social media and someone said their 20 year old dude neighbor had green hair and seemed soy but was always with attractive women and the commenters all coped by saying he was just tjeir effeminate man servant and they actually fucked alpha chads or something. Anyway
everyone already knows reddit is trash but it’s especially bad lately regarding china. this person commented they vacationed in china before and all the replies are like “you’ve received your payment from the CCP”. you think russiagate was bad? this is 100x worse. practically all it takes to get accused of being a CCP psyop is mentioning china in a neutral context. this is why I just tell redditors i’m an actual CCP psyop. the power is in MY hands
redditors are like “billionaires are bad and shouldn’t exist except for this one who posts memes on twitter even though he’s literally as bad if not worse than the ones we hate”
i love really niche subreddits that have been isolated for so long they’ve radicalized themselves in some bizarre unnecessary way to the extent that whenever anyone comments something like “i think water is real” it gets -500 downvotes
reddit’s amitheasshole sub may be the most ineffective (if not hilariously entertaining) kind of peer judgement in the worst possible court of opinion BUT I do appreciate how “everyone sucks here” is an accepted conclusion to come to. I think we should apply that more, up to and perhaps including official courts of law
“we find the defendant guilty, but we also find that the plaintiff brought it on themselves”
