Don’t like people pointing out that it no longer makes sense in modern society to pretend a banana is a telephone

Okay but for real think of the possibilities.
- People in remote areas (both recreationally and living) – hiking or dangerous areas if they’re lost, hurt, or scouting ahead
- Homeless people
- Disabled people (to alert for help or contact vital services
- Areas of extreme poverty (see all above)
- Lost people (either urban or rural) able to call for help
- Somebody close to death able to record all final thoughts (either injured, terminal, trapped, or unable to have constant medical care)
- Children always able to call for help
- Abused people – hiding a phone without worrying about it needing to be recharged
it isn’t bad at all, we’re just so used to phone companies trying to make paper thin phones with no battery life cause it’s good for business
i miss being able to take the battery of my phone out and just hold it
is it too much to ask? to be able to hold my phone’s heart in my hand again?

Phone games I watched people play on the bus on the way to middle school before I had my own Smartphone:
i fucking love how phone updates are like “hey real quick we need to make your phone unusable for 5 minutes so we can change nothing and make one font uglier” but computer updates are like “hey real quick we need to make your computer unusable for 2 hours so we can change nothing and also maybe ruin a random program of yours chosen off of a roulette wheel”
you should switch to linux where updates break your wi-fi or sound driver
