The sardine run takes place in southern Africa from May to July. The sheer number of sardines creates a feeding frenzy. Not much is known about this phenomenon but it is believed that the temperature of the water has to drop to a certain temperature for the migration to occur. Sardines are known to group together when they feel threatened. This is a defence mechanism due to the fact that lone individuals are more likely to become prey than large groups.

Aaaahhhh I love the ocean so much. So majestic and beautiful and mysterious! Life began in the ocean! All that we are, all that everything is, began there! And despite how ancient the ocean is, there is so much we still don’t know! We discover new things all the time! It’s wonderful!
Watch out guys and gals.. we’ve got a badass over here!
This is Pedro Oliva, a professional Kayaker, and yes, that is lava.
Oliva and his team, which includes extreme sports photographer Alexandre Socci, captured these images while rowing along the waters surrounding the active volcano, Kilauea, in Hawaii; as you do..
The water was near boiling point and at one point Pedro’s oar even caught fire. Was this stunt worth the risk? That’s a matter of opinion, but one thing is for sure, the resulting images are pretty awesome.

Do you suggest any charity whose aim is to clean the ocean from plastic? I’ve recently run into an advertisement of this kind of charities but I don’t know if i can trust them
Hi Anon, I’m guessing you came across the advertisement for 4Ocean on Facebook or Instagram (because that thing is everywhere!). Unfortunately I don’t know enough about this organisation to evaluate whether or not it is fake. Although a lot of people claim it to be (take a look at this reddit thread). I’m sure there might be some of my followers who know more. You guys are welcome to leave a review.
As for other ocean clean up organisations and organisations encouraging cleaning up the oceans, here’s what I know about:
I’m pretty sure there’s more organisations out there. For those of my followers who read this, feel free to add your favorite organisations.
