OMG it’s funny to ask me tips for avoiding corruption because this is my nation:
maxed economy, decent civil rights, but awful political freedom which I created on purpose just because it’s fun. classified as a corrupt dictatorship. soooo I can still give tips on avoiding corruption because I purposefully made mine corrupt, not accidentally, but ironic regardless.
to avoid corruption:
• don’t choose options involving a lack of transparency. for example, the government doing some sort of spying behind closed doors.
• don’t choose options that prioritize the ideas of yourself and close colleagues or family members over those of citizens. to get political freedom outlawed in mine I chose options where, rather than letting citizens vote or make any democratic decision, I control everything alone.
• don’t choose options that prioritize special interests of businesses, political organizations, lawyers, etc., OR if you do want to prioritize one of these things only do it when there’s an option that involves or maintains some form of democratic decision-making. however, be aware that this could cause your government to be inefficient and over-regulated if it involves making decisions of government organizations or officials involve more steps.
• don’t choose options involving bribery. this should be obvious, but it can go beyond money. someone may offer you a favor in exchange for adding or removing regulations to benefit them. in these options it’s sometimes worded as “[person] slips you [insert thing here]”, with ‘slip’ implying they’re doing it secretly.
and to grow the economy efficiently, choose middle of the ground options that somewhat prioritize industry over say, the environment, but not enough to change your economic system to capitalism. sometimes you’ll know when an option will implement capitalism because the person says they want a freer market, capitalism, or private business welcomed under socialism (don’t fall for it! that’s still capitalism). I know it’s cringe to temporarily have a somewhat pro-industry economy but once you really grow your economy you can survive without choosing pro-industry options. I banned cars in my nation recently and my economy is fine because it’s maxed, lol.
NOW, looking at your nation’s current policies, your government is doing well against corruption with devolution. the classification you’re in actually includes a representative democracy, which you have. capital and corporal punishment are the policies you have that lean towards corruption.
if you want to cheat, here is a list of all policies, issues that implement them, and issues that remove them. or play fair and good luck 😎
