so folks yknow how there’s abandoned, deteriorating pirate ships, desert temples, and underwater ruins?
recently i found this in an underwater ruin. this is purple glazed terracotta and prior to this, i didnt know it was in the game. so i looked it up, and
a lot of these look like wallpaper (unlikely however since it’s stone) or like those glass you’d see in a church (again, stone). they are decoration blocks, as said on the wiki. terracotta irl as used for ornamental building (sculpting)/modeling.
terracotta and spawns naturally in badlands. light blue may spawn in underwater ruins, however, along with glazed terracotta.
villagers dont trade terracotta, they dont live in badlands, they couldn’t make these places, nonetheless place them in underwater structures.
so my point is, some other intelligent life made these blocks and used to decorate whatever important structure. what was the structure? where did this intelligent life go? how did the villagers in the game get here? how does the player get here? where do they/we fit in?
im MOST LIKELY overthinking this, but tbh it’s fun. if anyone has mc theories feel free to respond with them.
