I talked to my math teacher about that problem but I’m not sure what my goal was because I didn’t want her to change my grade

It’s because I had to “show I understood it” holy shit clearly I understand how a triangle works if I still got the problem correct
And it wasn’t like she said that before the test
I got points off for not writing the fucking angle measurements in the right triangle, which I didn’t need to do to get the problem correct
Literally every other point I lost I get but… not that
It was a huge disappointment as a child to fall in love with the stars and then find out how much math it requires to get anywhere near them.
