Lightning McQueen never has actually legitimately won an on-screen race and never will

And god help anyone who disrespect his lighting mcqueen

Everyone is always saying “oh gosh how did McQueen react when Doc died”

Bruh let me tell u something. We saw it. We’ve seen his reaction. It’s called cars 2. A specific moment actually-

In Tokyo, after the first race, Lightning is feelin competitive with Francesco and is upset he didn’t win. Because of Mater. So Lightning yells at Mater. He says, “I don’t need your help! I don’t want your help!”

But what he doesn’t say is, “I need Doc’s help. I want Doc back, not you.”

Lightning is still broken up about it at this point. It’s still fresh. It isn’t healed. And it shows.

Lightning was “out of character” in cars 2? Hmm, I wonder why…

I love Doc so much and his backstory is so sad…like, he was probably like Lightning when he was younger and then the crash and he put away all his stuff and never raced again??? And then history repeats with Lightning crashing and “the next rookie standing in line” is now Jackson Storm??

I can’t wait to learn even more about him in Cars 3…
