Here’s the photoset of LEGO Octodad (each pic has captions)!
I used the Mixel sets of Tentro, Balk, Kraw, Slumbo, Lunk and Flurr.
He didn’t came out as I intended, but the pieces were limited and I feel it’s OK for the first try.
If LEGO comes up with a pure blue or blue + navy blue Mixels tribe you can bet there will be an update. The Frosticons are mostly turquoise so this was very limited.
On the heels of recent reports that Lego has owned up to its ultra-prolific brick production, we present a chart of all the colors of all the lego pieces ever. Did you know that pure black is very rare while very nearly black (#05131D) has had nearly 400,000 parts?
The least popular? A four-way tie between #9391E4 (a particular purplish hue), #F3CF9B (a tannish hue), #B4D4F7 (a baby blue), and #3CB371 (a shade of green), each with only two blocks.
The chimera I designed for our new LEGO show. I cannot express how much of a labor of love this was. It took over 100 hours just to design, let alone build and is one of the largest and most complex sculptures I’ve done.
Fun fact: This model used every single LEGO color available in standard brick.
