‘‘Keith,
no one can replace Shiro. But the Black Lion wouldn’t choose anybody it
didn’t feel was worthy to lead Voltron. I respect its choice. And you
should too.’‘

announcing my new book, 101 Reasons to Love Lance
Lance and Blue – hello and goodbye
the real reason why blue ignored lance
but seriously… no one on team voltron has any damn clue just how hard lance is on himself. they don’t know that he views himself as being less vital to the team than everyone else because he doesn’t let them see that side of him… he is confident in himself to some extent and about certain things, but a lot of it a false bravado… especially when it comes to his place on the team and what he thinks he contributes. lance talks himself up all the time and does not show much weakness or self doubt around anyone. this is backed up by the fact that team voltron teases him a lot. they feel comfortable teasing him because they think he is secure in himself and his abilities because that is exactly how he presents himself. if team voltron knew about these insecurities, they would not tease him like this. they are his friends. they feel comfortable teasing him because they probably figure that because he’s so confident, it will not affect him. they feel comfortable playfully teasing him like they do because they are all aware that lance is extremely talented and vital to the team… and how lance acts makes it seem like he knows this, too. over the course of the show, lance’s insecurities have been getting worse and worse and they are eventually going to eat him alive if he does not speak to his team about how he is really feeling. he needs to lay it all out for them, or at least SOMEONE, and get the reassurance he so desperately needs or he is going to crumble and it’s not going to be pretty.
You guys have to hear Lance’s siren sound in French omfg
