From the Wikipedia page for coloured pencils: 

“Unlike graphite and charcoal pencils, colored pencils’ cores are wax– or oil-based and contain varying proportions of pigments, additives, and binding agents.”

From the Wikipedia page for crayons.

“A crayon (or wax pastel) is a stick of colored wax.”

So, depending on the type, they really are reasonably called pencil crayons.

They’re more reasonably pencils that are colored. Like I said, if the wax were exposed, pencil crayon would make sense, but since it’s not and it’s designed to be a pencil.. not so much

I’ve known that since the beginning of this conversation, actually.

If you wanna be Canadian you gotta start calling it a pencil crayon. 

There’s. No crayon. It’s a pencil that’s colored.

I’ll prove how Canadian I am in other ways that don’t sacrifice my dignity and common sense.

A crayon is also coloured. A coloured pencil is coloured. Hence pencil crayon.

You waste time with those Us.

… colored pencil is a much simpler conclusion there. You also just called it a colored pencil. And there’s nothing about it that’s obviously a crayon.
