the incredibles 2 was REEEAALLLY good and maybe one of my new favorite movies but man people were not fackin around about the epilepsy stuff

like i’m not even epileptic and i had to close my eyes they were so bad so to give context without spoilers the scenes are:

1. part where helen is having a talk show as soon as the interviewer starts acting really weird

2. when helen breaks into the villain’s apartment (this one lasts the longest and has the lights covering the whole screen)

3. a bunch of luckily really short scenes on the boat near the end, pretty much whenever you see a crowd scene

also i wanna add i know there’s been a lot of warnings before (and i’m sure there were official ones i’ve missed) but most of them have been really vague so i just wanna give a better idea of when this stuff happens. thenk you

See this picture? This comes from a town in Canada where a 24 pack of water bottles is 104 dollars and formula milk for a baby is priced at 55 dollars a pack. What’s more, a pack of diapers is 95 dollars and one head of lettuce is 26 dollars. Inuit people are starving in a country known for it’s generosity.

If you don’t believe this is true, you can find more images like this here. This is the only grocery store these people have in their small towns, and many people are going hungry & elderly are dying faster.

You’ll send aid to foreign children that are starving, so why won’t you pay a little extra to feed the people in your own country who work hard & still can’t afford the prices for healthy food for their families?

Please have a heart and reblog this photo to raise awareness that even in our own countries people are starving, join the movement and show the government that we won’t sit by and watch people starve.

If you think this will make your blog ugly you’re wrong. Children in a first world country are getting sick & starving, and nobody is even aware it’s happening. You can let people know by reblogging and showing you care. People I am close to, my friends and future in-laws are going through this.

Love how little attention this post gets from my beach blog followers.

Ok I didn’t think this could possibly be for real, but I found a news source on the matter. This is insane.

As someone who lives in Canada, I can confirm this as being true :/ things are crazy expensive up North and our government (note Harper) is horrible at helping out with things and has actually faked getting involved before.

governments hate indigenous people, this is absolutely about anti-native racism. don’t forget that.

Actually our government hates us in general. Why else would they refuse to tell us any of there plans and spend billions of dollars on pointless trips that make our country worse? In fact. Canada is spending around 3 million alone on bringing literal ISIS fighters to Canada to reform them……..there poetry. Not even any form of medical help. Poetry. To the people who murdered and raped so many. There punishment? Poetry. Then they get to go back to there old lives like nothing happened.

Damn, I heard it was bad but I didnt realize it was that bad.

It’s REALLY bad. Like seriously.

My mom was doing construction on a school somewhere in Northern Ontario and it was like a ghetto almost. I don’t remember where but apparently it was super bad. Suicide rates are super high in these communities too.

Meanwhile some actual convicted terrorist has been offered free Canadian citizenship. And I can’t even bring my poor granny into Canada because it costs way too much and the paperwork makes it nearly impossible. I’m still not even a citizen yet. I’m a permanent resident and it’s weighing my family down that it’s so hard. Same with a lot of others I know. And a classmate from a poor indigenous community had to speak up about her own brother’s suicide because of the issues on reserves. Canada’s priorities are truly fucked.

What the gifs don’t convey is the soundtrack: the opening to Guns N Roses “Welcome to the Jungle.” Perf.

This movie was so fucking underrated. I blame the marketing. They tried to sell it as a face-off between Will Ferrell’s character and Brad Pitt’s, all because they didn’t want to spoil the twist: that Metro Man dies 10 minutes in. But it’s not that much of a twist, because the entire story is about what happens if the villain actually wins, and what makes a villain in the first place. I think it also got buried by Despicable Me, which came out at the same time, but this is infinitely superior.

Seriously, if you’ve never seen Megamind, go watch it right now.

the soundtrack? excellent. the voice acting? superb. the humor? diamonds. and the “true” villain? this movie has a pretty rad message to it.

it was absolutely buried by dispicable me, which had minions. the minions are marketable to a fault. all you have to do to sell something is slap a minion on it. megamind didn’t have an equivalent and it didn’t have steve carrell doing an annoying accent either.

they were presented as two versions of the same story archetype, but the reality is that dispicable me is a story about families and adoption, while megamind is a story about agency and identity. when marketed side by side as two attempts at a villain-is-actually-a-good-guy story, megamind looks like it fails to measure up; but they are actually two very different movies.

I feel like I’m the only one who just… doesn’t read fanfic? Like, I’ve got nothing against the idea of it. But, it seems to be this ingrained thing in fandom that most people do, eventually do, or have this crazy obsession with and I’m just meh about it.

i don’t either. im too picky about what i want that ive never really found any i liked. like once or twice ive read specific ones but ive never Read Fanfiction in general. sometimes i write it tho

I only read my friend’s
