Which actually the fact that Bob’s Burgers is a spiritual successor to King of the Hill makes people whining about how Bob’s Burgers is becoming more family friendly even more ridiculous. Like I wouldn’t necessarily show every episode of King of the Hill to a small child but like… it’s not explicitly adult. And Bob’s Burgers never really was either, even in the first couple seasons while it found its footing.
I was telling someone about a Bob’s Burgers episode (Mother Daughter Laser Razor) and how Linda was upset about Louise not acting affectionate enough and I had to stop for a second because I also remembered Better Off Sled and how Linda got jealous of Bob’s knitting ability and….. Bob’s Burgers really is a spiritual successor to King of the Hill, isn’t it? I mean Peggy is similarly… I don’t know the word, but anyway.
