that’s not characteristic keith behaviour or his typical stance. that’s a blatant anomaly. folding his arms, yes that’s normal keith body language. leaning against something, yes. hands by his sides and poised to attention whilst listening, yes. but this?
this kind bracing directly corresponds to the episode prior and is not normal for keith.
for him to be holding his shoulder like that in the open in 2,09.… i mean im sure he isn’t expecting people to be paying attention to him and focusing on the task at hand. i mean, they’re all clearly looking at the plan in the centre during this moment.
but for him to be bracing it that way, it proves that this injury really is a brutal one. and that light pressure he’s putting on the shoulder is needed for relief. we see how serious it is when it’s delivered. it’s still painful or at least extremely uncomfortable in 2.09 – enough for keith to break form and brace it in front of everybody, regardless of whether anybody actually noticed or not.
and i also keep thinking about how he got that injury at the start of the trial. he endured it throughout. and what’s more – he braces his shoulder as much as he possibly can.
but he still. does. this.
he literally takes that incredibly precise knife shot with his injured arm. and that has got to hurt. look at the force he puts into that, to get the knife to reach that spot, to propel it through the air.
