Hi,
I’m here to speak about Net Neutrality.
Basically, no.
We’re not gonna lose the internet tomorrow, it’s not gonna just disappear out of no where suddenly and suddenly be all laggy if the thing passes tomorrow. The process is completely longer than just that, it has to go through court and congress.
Also Net Neutrality was NOT a thing before 2015. Basically, we’ve been using the internet how we do now before Net Neutrality existed. No, I’m not saying I support the repeal but I’m saying that we are not gonna lose the internet immediately and I wanna point out,
Basically if a ISP does slow down a app/apps, they can lose business for just doing that. They will lose business if they make people pay for extra things. Basically, they can’t suddenly slow down everytbing because then they’ll have their business decrease largely.
Barely anything will even change. Although I may be wrong, I’m going based off the past. ISPs have never before made us pay for apps that are generally free. They have NEVER. Even before Net Neutrality was a thing. If you think logically, nothing is gonna immediately change, and it will likely barely change if you think about the past before it because it will go back to that. With basically.. nothing barely disturbed/changed.
Everyone around and posting about this saying things like the internet will IMMEDIATELY be destroyed and these people also probably have not properly researched about court processes and such. Long story short,
We’re gonna be fine.
We’ll be fine.
You’re not gonna immediately lose all your friends.
The internet isn’t gonna immediately go to shit. Please realize this.
i know there may be those worried or anxious, just breathe. even if this does happen we’ll figure it out, we’ll fight it. just take it one step at a time.

just a reminder that the internet doesn’t actually DIE tomorrow. They just vote on rather net neutrality should be a thing or not. after that, they have to fight the law at court.
SO NET NEUTRALITY WILL STILL BE HERE AFTER THE 14TH PLEASE DONT FREAK OUT.
BUT ALSO MAKE SURE TO SIGN PETITIONS, OR TEXT, OR CALL SOMEONE IN OFFICE.
Very important, for anyone who are feeling especially anxious, but don’t let that be a reason to let up in any way!!!!
Losing net neutrality does not mean losing Tumblr or whatever else. Stop spreading misinformation and acting like it is. All it means is certain (frankly common sense) regulations on ISPs are gone. Hell, it’s not even GONE YET! Holy fucking shit people. Stop making goodbye posts and if you see anyone making them tell them what the reality of the situation is, which is not literally the end times.
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!
Do not attack Ajit Pai’s kids, or anyone in his family for that matter.
No doxxing, no death threats, no name calling, no nothing. They have nothing to do with Pai’s choice, as dumb as it is, and shouldn’t suffer for his actions.
Especially just after we discussed with Keaton Jones’ situation about no bullying, we shouldn’t be hypocrites and bully others as well.
And a second note, as much as you may hate Ajit Pai, don’t doxx him and don’t send him death threats. You lose moral ground when you do that.
A PSA by Krow.
THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER TEXT ‘BATTLE’ TO 384-387!!!!!!!!!!!
Good news for everyone
Congress has made a bill in favor of stopping the FCC from changing net neutrality in any way. In other words saving net neutrality. So yes congress are on our side. The company Google wants to save net neutrality too and as you all know google is a big company with lots of money and many workers. So with this bill now and the amount of support we have to save net neutrality I think we’re saved. But I wouldn’t relax so soon either. The more votes or things we have to save net neutrality the better. But I thought I would post this to give people hope and so there could be a bit of calm to this storm or worry and fear.
this Thanksgiving, you should all be thankful for having the internet the way that you do, and not like this.
however, if you don’t vote, this is the future that’s in store for you.

Net Neutrality Information/Update
Guys, there are only 5 days until the FCC votes. The FCC vote on December 14th IS NOT THE DEATH DAY FOR NET NEUTRALITY!
The FCC votes then whether they will send their proposition/bill to Repeal Net Neutrality to Congress/The Senate for them to vote on.
The FCC CANNOT PASS/MAKE LAWS. The reason we email the FCC members was for making them vote to save Net Neutrality and vote against the repeal of it.
If enough members of the FCC vote against the proposition to repeal Net Neutrality, then it will not go up to The Senate/Congress to be officially voted on.
Important Information on USA Government:
•In America, The Legislative Branch is made up of Congress.
•The two main law making/passing parts of Congress are The Senate and The House Of Representatives.
•The FCC is not apart of Congress, therefore they cannot make/pass laws.
•There are 435 members in The House Of Representatives.
•There are 100 members in The Senate.
•The Senate is considered to be higher up than The House Of Representatives.
•According to some articles and informative post I’ve found, 250/435 members in The House Of Representatives have been said to have been “bought out”. This means big business companies that want the repeal of Net Neutrality paid them money to vote for the repeal. ((Information like this for The Senate is unknown, but if I find out I’ll update this post/make another post))
((More information follows in smaller text, do not skip please!))
This is why the importance of calling and emailing both sections of Congress ((The House Of Representatives and The Senate)) is CRUCIAL TO SAVE NET NEUTRALITY!!!
We have to try and persuade our Representatives in The Senate and The House Of Representatives to be on our side if we want to save Net Neutrality!!!
Sad and Unnerving Realizations:
•America’s government mainly ignores it’s people and our opinions.
•Big Business and Money is clearly more important to most people in power in our government.
•Net Neutrality gives people freedom online, it lets users express themselves freely online, whether they are looking for help, finding friends, looking for a relationship, raising money, or creating a small business.
•Freedom is a natural right, not a privilage given at expense.
•Most users online, which is mainly social media, are to young are to poor to pay fees just so the website/video/specific web page on a website will load.
•Suicide rates will rise for those who loose contact with friends and lovers who they communicate with online. They will loose contact with people who can save them if they don’t have anyone in real life to turn to. That includes people in other countries around the world who loose contact to those in America.
•Fandoms (not all) can/will die out and loose their voices.
•It will be harder to share opinions, art work, OC’s, Ships, and OTP’s with others in your fandoms.
How you can help in America:
•Peaceful Protesting.
•Emailing your Representatives and Senators.
•Calling your Representatives and Senators.
•Sign Petitions.
•Spread the word online and in real life with friends, family, and followers.
•Translate this post and other information for those who don’t speak english.
How you can help outside America:
•Most online petitions allow people online from various parts of the world to sign them.
•Spreading the word online and in real life to friends, family, and followers.
•Translate this post and other information for those who can’t speak english.
What NOT to do:
•Send Threats
•Be Rude
•Panic
•Use improper grammer/spelling/text talk/abbreviations
•Contact Representatives/Senate without knowing facts, having supportive details, or doing research
•Do nothing to help
Some Relieving Information:
•December 14th is NOT the death day of Net Neutrality!
•We still have time to save it! The FCC just votes on officially presenting the proposition to repeal Net Neutrality to Congress on that date.
•We will still have Net Neutrality for Christmas.
•If we have a majority votes against the repeal in the FCC/House Of Representatives/Senate we will save it.
•We have the ability to boycott companies/ISP’s who cause problems if the repeal passes.
•There’s always a chance/hope for reviving it in the future, we are the generation that wants it safe. We can bring it back if we loose it even if it takes a long time.
•We can still be able to text message through phone numbers/emails and communicate through online games and servers ((not websites, downloadables like overwatch, minecraft, etc.)).
•Apps will probably be left alone since they aren’t websites and therefore have different rules
•It lets ISP’s/Companies/websites CHOOSE to cause certain places to go to the slow lane, some may not change if they like how things are now.
•Less people online means they make less money instead of more like they want too.
•WE STILL HAVE TIME TO SAVE IT!!!
