this tip tho!!!!!!!!

I need to try this for trips I only bring a carry-on to.

I use to do this all the time in the military. Just forgot how to over time o.o

I wish I’d known about this when I was homeless.

I could’ve taught it to all the other ladies at the shelter and Darlene could’ve sucked a sour one because she never would have been able to bitch at us for “having too many clothes.”

reblogging this to have it forever because holy god damn

Toddlers who are hushed and yanked away by their parents in public for asking questions about disability become ableist adults stopping us in the grocery store demanding to know ‘what’s wrong with us.’

Stop worrying about your babies asking questions because I’d rather explain my disability to a curious 2-year-old, than an insistent 40-year-old in the check out line.

Adults, you know better. You’re children don’t, and they will never learn if you don’t allow them to.

The “friend zone” and unrequited love are not the same thing. Unrequited love is, “I love you, you don’t love me in that same way, I am sad about that.” The “friend zone” is, “I love you, you don’t love me in that same way, you have therefore wronged me.”

Unrequited love is, “My unilateral crush is my problem.” The “friend zone” is, “My unilateral crush is your problem.”

Again for the ones in the back

Louder.

Unrequited Love is sad. The friendzone is creepy.

Being a good person is a choice. Don’t let people fool you into believing that truly good people never have bad thoughts, are never tempted by the easier path, by the low road, never mess up or act out selfishly. Never believe a person can be good without making a conscious effort.

Every single time you do something good, you’ve made a decision to make the world a little brighter.

Goodness is not an inherent trait, it is a choice. Keep making it! I see you, I’m proud of you, and I’m rooting for you!

you guys remember when PETA stole people pets off their porches and euthanized them?

you guys remember how it came out that PETA kills about 90% of the animals it takes in, including healthy and adoptable puppies and kittens, stating “

We could become a no-kill shelter immediately. It means we wouldn’t do as much work”?

you guys remember when PETA advocated killing all pit bulls for the crime of being pit bulls?

you guys remember when PETA handed out these comics to children when there were no adults looking?

you guys remember when they made a porn site and then filled it with videos of animal abuse, and (also in that link) claimed cats should be vegetarian?

you guys remember when PETA lied about sheep shearing, got caught, and defended the lie as true even after they admitted the sheep in their picture wasn’t even real?

you guys remember when they tried to excuse their horrifying ways by claiming that the person who exposed them was manipulating the facts by taking them and putting them in the wrong context?

Because I remember. I remember everything.

And I’m gonna make sure everyone else remembers too.

Why would they kill pit bulls they’re sweeties

Because PETA does not care about animals. they do not care that these dogs live and breathe and feel and want love like every other dog. they do not care about the history of human/dog bonding and co-evolution, they do not care that dogs and human beings have relied on each other for millennia, they do not care that its cruel and morally repugnant to put down an animal just because you can, they do not care about animals.

PETA cares about money and publicity, its a corporation run by a psychopath who is afraid of pitts as it states in the link: she was apparently bit by one, and now she hates them.

PETA doesn’t give a rats ass about animals. They just want to kill and make money off of idiots who fall of their spiel.

Some celebs support them

ah c’mon, dear-tumb1r, I think you’re being a bit harsh. I mean, okay, PETA’s done some questionable things, but it’s not like they’ve also

spread false information about milk causing autism based on outdated bullshit information

used holocaust imagery to compare the meat industry to concentration camps (no pictures)

used a young man’s brutal death as a way to say “yeah that’s awful but it happens to animals every day and nobody cares about that” (tw: no pictures but the way the guy died is described and it is really horrible)

dressed up in KKK robes and protested outside of the Westminister Dog Show to protest breeding/pure bred dogs (tw: racism)

offered to pay the water bill for literally the poorest neighborhood in Detroit if and only if they all went vegan for a month (tw: self-righteous shitheads)

and they definitely didn’t have two of their workers accept perfectly healthy animals from an animal hospital, with the implication that they would give them good homes, clarify that these animals were all healthy and well-tempered, and then euthanized them all in the back of a kill-van before dumping their dead bodies behind a grocery store (tw: PICTURES OF DEAD ANIMALS, animal death)

and they totally didn’t get off pretty much scot-free for it because PETA has loads of money and lawyers to defend themselves, which coincidentally might be why the Cerate family hasn’t seen justice for their kidnapped and murdered dog, Maya. (tw: animal death)

Nah. PETA’s not that bad.

(/the heaviest of all my fucking sarcasm, I am salty as a fucking winter road, lord do I fucking hate PETA)

Did you think i was fucking joking, PETA?

I will make sure everyone fucking remembers what you’ve done.

Bringing it back, because it’s charity season and people need to know NOT to give charity to these fuckers.

Smash that mf reblog button if you stoically ignore all labelled washing instructions and everything your mama ever told you about laundry and just send those bastards hurgling around in an overfilled tub to meet either death or glory

Something I learned from a costume designer: if an item can be washed multiple ways the designer is only legally obligated to put one of the ways on the tag, but if there’s only one way to wash that item they have to put Only on the instructions

If the tag says “Dry Clean” it’s safe to machine wash but the designer thinks it looks better if you get it dry cleaned

But if it says “Dry Clean Only” you will destroy it if you wash it any other way

Reblogging for that last bit which this 37 yr old adult did not lnowy

The question is not can you get a photo shoot for under $250, the question is can you get a quality photo shoot for under $250. In most situations the answer is no, because if you’re going to ask somebody to haul expensive equipment to remote locations and take dozens to hundreds of fucking photos and edit the hell out of them until they’re just right you had better be offering more than what amounts to pocket change when you consider time, effort, mileage, etc. There’s a reason wedding photographs usually take weeks to come back. The person is not just spending the few hours the shoot takes, they’re spending hours more doing editing and color correction. Either pay for quality or be happy with crap, but don’t call people greedy and act like you know everything about a subject you’ve literally never studied. If you think you could do so much better then do it, and don’t waste a professional’s time.

Daily reminder that “Missing Person” posts are a common and often effective method that abusers use to find their victims that have run away from them. Also used to find people in the witness protection program.

If you see a “missing person” post with a number that is not just 911 on it, be very wary. And if you do see someone who is supposedly missing, call the police, NOT the number provided on the post. I trust the police as little as anyone but they’ll at least be able to tell you if that person is actually missing and it has less of a chance of giving information to a possible abuser.

cops: you have a right to remain silent

suspect who is innocent: *remains silent*

cops to judge: anyway the suspect was unhelpful the whole time, they didnt say anything, I’m pretty sure theyre guilty based on that.

Don’t say shit. Get a lawyer.

the cops will try shit like “Oh if you aren’t guilty why do you need a lawyer? only guilty people need lawyers.”

Its not true. Get a fuckin lawyer

Guys, guys, both the right to remain silent and the right to a lawyer HAVE TO BE INVOKED. Sitting silently is not considered an unambiguous invocation of the right since Berghius v. Thompkins in 2010 (while under arrest) and Salinas v Texas in 2013 (when not under arrest). There’s no magic words, but be clear, be explicit. Say something to the effect of “I am exercising my right to remain silent and I want to speak to an attorney” and then DON’T SAY ANYTHING ELSE (speaking up again, even to ask for a fsking drink, may indicate you are waiving the right until you once again invoke).

Say that and get a lawyer EVEN IF you know you broke the law and intend to plead guilty in court. Police make mistakes, police try to charge you with more than you actually did, and whether they’re fucking up honestly or deliberately being nefarious you need a professional on your side when dealing with them.
