Stop censoring the words people are using to blacklist, you are actually exposing people to the word/subject you think you’re protecting them from. If rape is on my blacklist and you have an in depth account of rape and you used r*pe for everything, I WILL NOW BE EXPOSED TO IT because my blacklist DIDN’T BLOCK IT because YOU CHANGED THE WORD.
^^^^^^ To add: Censoring is only really necessary when it comes to a slur your cannot reclaim, but you still need to at least tag the post with the themes so anyone who has, say, antiblack violence blacklisted for instance, won’t be exposed to what it is that triggers them.
I would really appreciate it if people could reblog this instead of ignoring it because this IS becoming a wide spread problem. I have had several panic attacks over the last month due to things that are on my blacklist not being caught specifically because of people censoring the black list word. Blacklists can pick up on words inside posts, but they can’t pick up on those words when you change one or more letters to a star.
Stop censoring words in posts that aren’t slurs, you are not protecting us from exposure, you are forcibly exposing us to it. You are doing precisely the opposite of helping us.
I’ve seen a few stimming videos of people playing with slime where when you click the sound it’s been replaced by loud screaming or loud sounds!
I was so startled by one I nearly had a panic attack please fellow stimmers be careful if you are sensitive to sound!

So you want to support bees, but Cheerios is giving you invasive species, so you can’t use that.
Seedles are little seed balls that plant wildflowers and other bee-friendly plants. They aren’t that expensive, and the best part is they’re unique to your region. They’ve worked to use plants found natively in each part of the US so that you aren’t introducing non-native or invasive species.
This is a perfect addition, almost all of the flowers included in Cheerio’s mix are guaranteed to be invasive somewhere. Cheerio’s and those plant bombs are a misguided attempt at helping when you don’t don’t understand the complexity of native ecosystems. You could end up doing much more damage in the long run if you don’t use native species.
I checked out Seedle’s website and they make it really easy to divide what flowers you are buying by region, so go get your bee support from there! The bees and their environment will be much happier.
Forever Dream Senior Dog Sanctuary, located in Tryon, NC, is at risk.
Last week a trusted volunteer, and close friend of the sanctuary owner for 30 years, shocked our entire community by stealing all of the sanctuary’s funds and disappearing.
Police reports have been filed, investigations are underway, but while all of that is going on, the sanctuary still has no funds. The local community is already helping out by donating what food and supplies they can, but tens of thousands of dollars worth of donations were stolen. That money goes towards keeping the sanctuary running.
Please, please help. Verna Wilkins, the sanctuary owner, is my friend, and I have had the privilege of working up close with the seniors and the sanctuary, and seeing the amazing work she does. The sanctuary is such a wonderful place. It not only provides forever homes and medical care to undesirable senior dogs, but Verna also rehabilitates feral seniors that were abandoned – something that happens all too often in this area.
Please, even one dollar helps. And if you can’t donate, getting this spread as far and wide as possible helps tremendously. Help save these dogs from having to be put down, or live their lives out in shelters without proper medical care or love.
