i think gen z ppl need to stop trying to moderate social media– which is impossible to moderate– and just go on forums already. “this is for mlm, wlw dni” bruh i’m telling you, if you discover mlm forums you’ll go bananas. everyone there will be mlm, i promise. this is genuinely friendly advice. stop wasting your time trying to control your twitter and tik tok, it won’t work because it’s designed to not be controlled.

In case you need to hear it from someone: you have my full permission to enjoy works of media that are not considered “good”.

Not everything we love has to be of the highest quality. If that low-budget, slapped-together, hot mess of a story/show/etc. hits home with you? Love it. Talk about it. Be unapologetically thankful for it!

And for us creators? May we remember that even our worst works can still be beloved by someone who needed them.

forever haunted by some one-off writing advice post I read YEARS ago that was like “a helpful way to make sure your creative works pass the bechdel test is to go out of your way to include a scene where two female characters discuss something random, like their jobs or the weather!” which is… truly something. to know what the bechdel test is and yet completely failing to grasp both its reason for existence and the way you are part of the problem if you have to deliberately make an effort to meet an incredibly low bar. the part that actually haunts me though is how literally nothing has changed in terms of Bechdel Test Discussions since then

being a girl and hitting puberty is so traumatic. you go from being a genderless little free thing to being hit with shaving and makeup and growing breasts and skincare and menstruation and suddenly being sexualised when like a few years ago you could take your shirt off to play in the stream and trade yugioh cards with the boys and come home covered in mud and not even think about it. and then you spend years hating being a girl and hating everything puberty did to you and wishing you could be a boy or be completely genderless again and it takes you Many years to come to terms with yourself Or you simply try to Lean In to everything and do makeup tutorials on YouTube and claim it’s for fun. like how can this be treated as normal

#you sure youre not transgender?

uh yes I’m a woman. can you not be a dork please ?????

healingcaffee:

things that should be completly normal:

  • not going to uni
  • taking as much time as needed before going to uni
  • changing your majors many times before finding what you like
  • changing your career path
  • not knowing what you want
  • attending a community college
  • valuing your health over your grades

my goal is to be happy and enjoy life. literally. i do not have these grandiose career aspirations, but rather to simply not worry about money. it’s okay to not have these big massive goals that you’re pushed to strive for by the media and the society we live in. it’s okay to just want to enjoy the life you live – sometimes that’s one of the hardest goals to achieve! but it is the the most important. remember that!
