dude being a little kid during an election year was THE funniest thing. kids were all just repeating their parent’s political beliefs verbatim without understanding any of what they were saying. My elementary school did a mock election and I didn’t know what was going on so I just voted for Obama because thats what everyone else was doing. Hey, y’all know you can just call someone “self centered” instead of calling them a narcissist, right?? Like, I understand there’s a colloquial meaning for the term, but that doesn’t magically mean you’re not adding to the stigma people with npd have to deal with when you use it that way. If you actually care about ableism against cluster b personality disorders, I suggest you use “self centered” instead.
Same goes for the term “empathy”. I’m begging y’all to just say “compassion” instead. Whether or not you have empathy is not a choice, but whether or not you have compassion is.
