I have compiled a list of every gender Tumblr claims there is. They’re all real, Google them. There’s genders that “only autistic people can feel”, genders that “make you feel like you know witchcraft”, genders that change if you’re near a certain amount of another gender, etc. lmao

I don’t understand how people don’t get that gender is on a spectrum and we had hold dear to societal norms of gender performance. Mocking the idea of a persons identity, especially something as broad yet vital as gender is essentially mocking a persons entire being.
There’s also that phase lots of transmeds are in where they go out of their way to go after nonbinary people… sure their gender might not actually be a gender and may be a personality trait, but you’re making the cause look really stupid.
Pronouns are based off your gender, and gender exists on a fucking MALE-FEMALE spectrum! If you don’t want to use gendered pronouns, use “they”! If you don’t want to use “they” because of stigma, here’s an idea- fight the stigma. Don’t add more stigma to being transgender.
If you want to express yourself, use your name, clothes, and car. BUT DO NOT MAKE IT FUCKING HARDER FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE TO GET WHAT THEY NEED.
…seriously, if you look in the right places, you can see people ON THIS TRASH PIT testifying to how Tumblr Pronounblr has negatively affected them trying to get HRT or surgery, or to even just be taken seriously! It’s affected how I see transgender people at my school! I don’t take them seriously because of this trash pit of a website and its obsession with making gender into a label.

I believe there’s male, female, and non-binary, in which there is trans, agender (I am agender, without a gender identity at all), and gender-fluid/genderqueer, which bounces between male and female. That’s my take on it, anyways.
And that makes sense to me, as a person who thinks some form of dysphoria needs to exist to be trans. I don’t see any reason why dysphoria has to be a static thing, that never changes, ever. (Why bother doing that transition thingy if it wouldn’t help your dysphoria, exactly?)
Once we assert that the problem with gender is that we currently only recognise two of them, the obvious question to ask is: how many genders would we have to recognise in order not to be oppressive? Just how many possible gender identities are there? The only consistent answer to this is: 7 billion, give or take. There are as many possible gender identities as there are humans on the planet. Your gender can be frost or the Sun or music or the sea or Jupiter or pure darkness. Your gender can be pizza.
But if this is so, it’s not clear how it makes sense, or adds anything to our understanding, to call any of this stuff “gender”, as opposed to just “human personality” or “stuff I like”. The word “gender” is not just a fancy word for your personality or your tastes and preferences, and it is not just a label to adopt so that you now have a way to convey just how large and multitudinous and interesting and misunderstood you are. Gender is the value system that ties certain desirable behaviours and characteristics to reproductive function. Once we’ve decoupled those behaviours and characteristics from reproductive function (which we should), and once we’ve rejected the idea that there are just two types of personality and that one is superior to the other (which we should), what can it possibly mean to continue to call this stuff “gender”? What meaning does the word “gender” have here, that the word “personality” cannot capture?

If anyone wants to explain to me how the fuck gender can be based on your neurodivergence without just saying “gender is a broad spectrum” (No duh, spectrum implies a LINE though.) I’d be happy to listen.
My guess would be someone is mistaking a filter for the world around them. Autism colors much of how one views themselves and the world around them. So it would make sense for the lens of autism to affect how someone views their gender. That said, the OP is mistaking that for gender it’s self which is how your brain deals with your body. For another brain abnormality that may affect one’s view of their gender.
The bit at the end is even more batshit because that says that someone with NPD or Schizophrenia can declare that their gender. Which is lunacy in the extreme.
Yeah… gender can be influenced by neurodivergence but it can’t BE your neurodivergence.
