furbies are the spiders of toys in the sense that 2/3 of the worlds population hates them with a passion and 1/3 of them are confused as to why

doing laundry? fine, even fun. putting laundry away? terrible. worst chore. wretched way to spend time.
no putting laundry away we live out of the basket like men
Whatever works for you!
I actually have 4 baskets. One for shirts that are clean, one for socks that are clean, and one for under things that are clean. And one basket for all dirty clothes.
I can’t fold clothes. I can’t be bothered. But I also know my clothes shouldn’t go on the floor, so I got a system that works for me.
If what works for you is clothes on a chair, hey, get two more chairs. If you like to lay yours on the end of the bed, figure out a system.
Some folks can actually use hangers, some can’t. Some folks can neatly fold all their clothes in a drawer, some just shove them in.
It might seem “weird” but if it works for you and you can find it and your clothes are CLEAN, do it.
“Age is just a number.”
Here are situations that phrase is meant for:
- When your grandpa is feeling really old because he just turned 80.
- When you and your parener want to get married but you are both in your 60s and feel that it is too late in life to do that.
- When your grandkid tells you that you are too old to be playing LEGO’s
- When your judgemental coworker says you are too old to quit your job to start your own business
- When your teenager gets embarrassed and says they’re too old to be dropped off at school.
- Etc..
The situation where the phrase isn’t okay:
- When you are excusing pedos making advances or being in relationships with minors
- When someone is grooming a minor with that phrase
- Really anything to do with being a creep.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
Or when people say “you’re too old to still be excited about Pokemon, video games, etc.”
Let’s get used to the idea that some discomfort is a good thing when trying to improve yourself and your habits. Dieting is uncomfortable. Quitting a bad habit is uncomfortable. Working on yourself is uncomfortable. Stop conflating self care with only comfort. Sometimes the best self care is uncomfortable.
Also I hate the whole “this character is XYZ-coded” argument anyway because it’s almost always based on laughably offensive stereotypes. “This character has a gigantic nose and big lips! There’s no other explanation but that they are black-coded!” Fucking yikes. How is that any different than the black caricatures from 30s cartoons?
Remember when tumblr declared that the gorillas in the movie “Sing!” were black-coded, thereby tacitly calling black people apes?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Also, they were criminals. And all their voice actors were white British guys.
i feel like people have forgotten what “NSFW” actually stands for after all these years
it stands for “not safe for work,” as in “material that could get you fired if your boss sees you looking at it at your place of employment”
tagging things as “nsfw” is not something to be politicized, it is a courtesy to your fellow humans so that they do not get fired or socially ostracized for someone’s whole dick being out on their computer
Reblogging because I recently saw someone saying in their blog description that they didn’t post NSFW, but that they did reblog “tasteful or artistic nudity.”
Like…. No… That’s not how it works…..
i love voltron. like actually, completely, unironically. fuck all the ships and discourse and fandom. i love the show. the animation and the backgrounds and the whole concept of giant fucking robot lions in space, dude. aliens and black holes and cool planets and galaxies. friendship and found family and bonding. i love that shit. sometimes it’s easy to forget that the show itself is actually pretty fucking incredible when ur constantly being bombarded with fandom bullshit but like. man. i love voltron.
So many people confuse being irresponsible with being fun and having self-control with being boring
Piping hot tea because some of y’all really think it’s cute to be out here casually ruining your health and lives
i just feel like if a job pays less than $15/hr… they shouldn’t ask for experience.
like if im going to get a minimum wage job, im going to do the bare minimum.
i just don’t understand how we’re “all an important part of the company” and the pay gap is so big
Also if I’m being paid minimum wage, don’t expect me to be passionate about whatever it is you want me to do.
minimum wage = minimum effort
And minimum commitment. Give me a reason to be loyal. Ducking pay me
Peak capitalism expects maximum effort and maximum commitment for minimum pay and minimum loyalty.
When the employer’s attitude is ‘you’re replaceable’ then the employee attitude is ‘this is just a temporary job’
I’m always seeing articles in HR industry publications and stuff that bemoan the “erosion of employee loyalty” and how employees are so willing to jump ship if someone offers them a few more bucks and like…yeah…because y’all made it super clear that we’re all replaceable cogs in the corporate machine, if you’ve got no loyalty toward your employees, what kind of brass balls do y’all have that you expect them to still be loyal to you anyway? This is a two way street, fuckers.
