seeing NHL players and the entire hockey community come together and send their love to those lost and their families in Humboldt during such a tragic time is extremely heartwarming. my whole entire heart is with them.
Lac Saint-Jean is a large lake near Quebec, Canada that spans nearly 410 square miles and has a depth of nearly 210 feet at its deepest point. The water is a reddish yellow color, is fed by at least six notable rivers within Quebec, and was named after Jean de Quen, the first European to step foot on its shores in 1647. The lake is known to be full of Northern Pike, Speckled Trout, Quananiche, Sea Trout, and a nearly 60ft dragon-like serpent known as the Ashuaps. The creature gets its name from the nearby Ashuapmushuan River that drains into the lake.
See this picture? This comes from a town in Canada where a 24 pack of water bottles is 104 dollars and formula milk for a baby is priced at 55 dollars a pack. What’s more, a pack of diapers is 95 dollars and one head of lettuce is 26 dollars. Inuit people are starving in a country known for it’s generosity.
If you don’t believe this is true, you can find more images like this here. This is the only grocery store these people have in their small towns, and many people are going hungry & elderly are dying faster.
You’ll send aid to foreign children that are starving, so why won’t you pay a little extra to feed the people in your own country who work hard & still can’t afford the prices for healthy food for their families?
Please have a heart and reblog this photo to raise awareness that even in our own countries people are starving, join the movement and show the government that we won’t sit by and watch people starve.
If you think this will make your blog ugly you’re wrong. Children in a first world country are getting sick & starving, and nobody is even aware it’s happening. You can let people know by reblogging and showing you care. People I am close to, my friends and future in-laws are going through this.
Love how little attention this post gets from my beach blog followers.
Ok I didn’t think this could possibly be for real, but I found a news source on the matter. This is insane.
As someone who lives in Canada, I can confirm this as being true things are crazy expensive up North and our government (note Harper) is horrible at helping out with things and has actually faked getting involved before.
governments hate indigenous people, this is absolutely about anti-native racism. don’t forget that.
Actually our government hates us in general. Why else would they refuse to tell us any of there plans and spend billions of dollars on pointless trips that make our country worse? In fact. Canada is spending around 3 million alone on bringing literal ISIS fighters to Canada to reform them……..there poetry. Not even any form of medical help. Poetry. To the people who murdered and raped so many. There punishment? Poetry. Then they get to go back to there old lives like nothing happened.
Damn, I heard it was bad but I didnt realize it was that bad.
It’s REALLY bad. Like seriously.
My mom was doing construction on a school somewhere in Northern Ontario and it was like a ghetto almost. I don’t remember where but apparently it was super bad. Suicide rates are super high in these communities too.
Meanwhile some actual convicted terrorist has been offered free Canadian citizenship. And I can’t even bring my poor granny into Canada because it costs way too much and the paperwork makes it nearly impossible. I’m still not even a citizen yet. I’m a permanent resident and it’s weighing my family down that it’s so hard. Same with a lot of others I know. And a classmate from a poor indigenous community had to speak up about her own brother’s suicide because of the issues on reserves. Canada’s priorities are truly fucked.
I think we should all take a moment to appreciate this gloriously well-preserved nodosaur that turned up in Alberta.
I mean, look at this thing!
This has got to be one of the most well-preserved dinosaurs I have ever laid eyes on.
Even the keratin sheaths around its osteoderm spikes were preserved, so it can be used to reliably reconstruct how ankylosaurids would have looked at in life!
And the best part is it was discovered completely by accident in a mining operation! Can you imagine being one of the miners who stumbled across this beautiful, beautiful thing?
Justin Trudeau is exactly the kind of squeaky clean, picture perfect man-of-the-people character who turns out to be the twisted main villain all along.
its like I am living in a parallel universe where its not publicly known that he sells weapons to Saudi Arabia and asbestos to china. Its like I am in this universe where its still a secret.
he does?
And he admired Fidel Castro and there’s a conspiracy theory that he is Castro’s Bastard.
