Tl;dr: the streamer whose face is used in the Pogchamp emote tweeted in support of the white nationalists in DC today, and in response Twitch has discontinued the use of the emote with intentions to work with the twitch community to create an acceptable replacement. The use of the terms “pog,” “pogchamp,” and the like have not been banned, just the face of the man behind the emote.
