Every almost Valentine’s Day this post keeps getting notes and I’m just super glad that this message is spreading farther. Have a good Valentine’s Day, you’re valid even if you don’t experience sexual or romantic attraction and even if you don’t have a partner.
FYI I refuse to use the tag ‘ace discourse’ now. I only tag it as ‘aphobia’. My reason for this is because we would not call it ‘trans discourse’ or ‘gay discourse’ if people were being transphobic or homophobic. We don’t call it bi discourse’ or ‘race discourse’ or ‘disability discourse’ or anything of the sort.
It’s just aphobia. There’s no ‘discourse’, it’s literally just bigotry.
people like “no ace discourse please” and yet reblog the most horrid posts against ace people.
honestly you guys will reblog sexually charged comments about ace people, compare them to horrible people and expect them to take it?? And not call you out?? God forbid, ace people actually don’t like being treated less than a human.

anyways, ace people deserve to be treated with respect and the right to call people out when they’re not.
