“Oh come on, this is just some bullshit of yours to put off going back to Earth”

“What? So what, Lana, I conjured up some kinda telepathic ghost cube?”

“I didn’t say you conjured it up, dickwrap, I said that-”

“The coma seasons are pointless to the rest of the series” then explain season 10, episode 6 “Road Trip” and how it shows an alternate version of Archer that clearly makes him feel insecure? How it clearly shows how deeply insecure Archer is? And the fact that that theme comes up in season 11 as well especially with regards to Cyril?

Or how in seasons 8 and 9, Archer has flashbacks, which he also does to a degree in real life? How the coma seasons really show how Archer feels about the people in his life? And that’s not just speculation, reasonably sure it’s been brought up by either the creators or at least some of the voice actors?

It’s a workplace comedy at the core, it’s not going to have the same kind of depth as something with more consistent character development as something like The Sopranos. It just isn’t. And also the coma seasons actually do a great job of dealing with sitcom staleness. Along with the fact that seasons 5-7 are slightly different already from seasons 1-4?

Plus when Archer tells Lana in season 11 episode 1 that the constant in all of his coma dreams was Lana, the dreams clearly have an impact on waking Archer? And not to mention the hallucinations/flashback/idk stuff in Cold Fusion?

I really just. What. The coma seasons are fun and do offer glimpses into the waking world if you would engage 1 critical thinking cell in the right place lol.

“Look, idiots, there’s gotta be a fuel cell around here somewhere, they’re basically impossible to destroy.”

“Unless the pilot spills a cocktail all over the flight controls.”

“Yeah, but what are the odds their pilot was that kick-ass?”
