Hi, this is the brain scan anon from before, thanks so much, I’ll look into them and discuss them with my doctors, it’s always good to get a proper diagnosis y’know? I hate how there are so many snowflakes on here actually pretending to have a mental disorder for the attention, it’s disgusting, and it takes away the struggle of people actually wanting to be diagnosed and wanting make progress, yet these people try to validate their disgusting ideals. Honestly terrifying for those truly suffering
Yeah, I’m glad to help.
And yeah, people who are desperate for a mental health issue or even those who are romanticizing the disorders are gross. I don’t understand why you’d want a disorder. Especially because it adds to stigma that people are faking their mental health issues.
(1/2) Hey, I read your post saying that brain scans can detect mental health issues such as ADHD and I was left fascinated. You see, I’ve been in and out of the hospital for seven years now for an issue that is still being investigated and it frustrates me to no end. I’ve done MRI scans and CAT scans to search for epilepsy or a tumour for example, to which all were normal. This was when my doctors started to suspect that my mental health was manifesting as physical issues,
(2/2) and they began to suspect that I was on the autism spectrum along with depression and generalised anxiety disorder because there was no physical evidence to explain my physical symptoms. Back to your post, I would love to know which brain scans show evidence of things such as autism, or depression or anxiety, because it would help me and my doctors a lot since CAT scans and MRI scans showed nothing abnormal in my brain. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Okay, so from what I found after doing some quick research is that SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) and qEEG (quantitative electroencephalography) can detect ADHD in some cases. From what I understand they’re usually used for diagnosing more complicated ADHD cases.
I think those would be the most likely bet since they scan for activity in the brain rather than physical issues with the brain, which is what Autism, ADHD, depression, etc. are.
You defend that user but they wouldn’t make anything for you revolving around your pride because of how you identify sexually. Spread the hate and slow the progress.
Eh. See, there’s a blog, I forget the exact URL, that makes LGBT userboxes. A long time ago I reblogged a “this user is asexual” box from them. I’m not particularly bothered that it wasn’t made, especially given the old version of evenmoreuserboxes has a “this user is asexual” userbox.
The other thing is that it wasn’t not made because they disliked asexual people. It was because it was for a group that had been giving them a lot of shit lately. The mature thing to do in that situation is to accept it and move on. It’s not like that’s the only userbox blog on the site.
Also, I don’t agree on all their opinions of asexuality regardless. I’m choosing to ignore it.

Hey, I hope you have a nice Saturday!
Thank you
As someone who has depression (professionally diagnosed) I can still relate to how you feel about mental illness, don’t worry. So long as it’s not glorified, I see no reason to be not be curious; I tend to wonder what it is like to have personality disorders such as ASPD and other things like that. Of course, I wouldn’t want it (depression is already kicking my ass) but we all have curiosity.
Yeah. It’s just sometimes I’ll be looking at symptoms and I’ll think “unfortunate” when I decide that I don’t have it, and when I look at symptoms knowing that that thought process is wrong I undermine symptoms that I do have. I know that mental illnesses suck, and I know people who have them don’t want them, but I’m still trying to internalize that so that I can look at symptoms accurately.
It’s also just curiosity about what they’d be like, I guess.
Hell
That’d be my blog title, yep.
Hey, feel better buddy
Thank you nonnie, I’ll try.
