ADHD things I didn’t know until recently: ADHD has been found to be genetically linked to “Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder”. People who experience this usually fall asleep around 2 or 3 am and can be almost impossible to wake up in the morning for regular school or work times. Sometimes it gets better as they reach adulthood, but otherwise it is a lifelong disorder. Normal sleeping routines can be established, but they can be hard to keep because the brain will eventually reset its sleeping schedule to the later sleep time.
Note that this is not to be confused with insomnia because DSPD means having a biological clock with a later sleeping schedule, and usually people with DSPD do not have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep.
@adhd-community @actuallyadhd I see asks about insomnia and trouble sleeping sometimes so I thought I’d tag your blogs B)

“WOW IM SO GLAD MY DOCTOR TOLD ME ABOUT THIS” SAID NONE OF US EVER
So is this only in people with ADHD? Because I don’t have ADHD (though I do have autism, anxiety, depression, and OCD, and some of my family members have ADHD) but this sounds very familiar.
it says “a feeling unique to people with adhd” so until further research comes out i’d say, yes, it’s exclusively adhd. it’s similar to symptoms of other conditions and other conditions themselves, so that may be why it sounds familiar
haha i love it when people act like adhd “isnt as important as depresssion or any REAL mental illness” its so great
everything is equally important when it comes to mental health. it’s not a contest and making comparisons in terms of “oh, this is worse than x” is honestly just toxic and we gotta tone that down asap. in the end, we all strive for the same goal, that is, to make the best out of our situation and to find healthy ways to deal with it
I wish that there wasn’t a ton of stigma and secrecy about mental illnesses/developmental disorders/neurodivergent stuff in general because then it would be okay for someone to ask “are you autistic?” Or “do you have adhd or something?” And it wouldn’t be an insult it would be like saying “hey, you seem to be struggling and I think there might be a reason” and that could help a lot of people who haven’t been diagnosed uet and I’m rambling because I have no clue what my point is and this makes no sense
At least they’re not like paul johseph fucking watson, who doesn’t believe in depression or even understands it.

I’m all against virtue signaling and making up shit to get sympathy but that doesn’t make depression a non-issue.
Like I get it the millennials are destroying the world but
Paul just sounds like an utter twat. In the beginning he wonders why depression is common place in modern society? Oh, I dunno it’s not like everyone from the 1970′s to the mid 90′s(millennials) have had to clean up the past decades colossal cock ups, not to mention with the advancement of technology – everything becomes easier and less personal. We were conditioned to a type of coddling that you get from over obsessed mothers. So when we face true hardships it hits us harder than titanium dildo. Not to mention Generation z is right around the corner to ready to fucking ass rape us with questions we don’t have the answers to like “why isn’t racism or sexism over?” Well billy, why do we all lie awake at night thinking about shit that doesn’t fucking matter? Answer is: I don’t fucking know!Long story short depression is important and Paul is a brainless moron.
uhhh not a big fan of the whole depression matters more than adhd agenda being sneaked onto my posts, bud
Maybe don’t speak for everyone with your disorder when you’re talking about ADHD friend pal because sure it may calm you down but I literally watched a kid get a sugar high from syrup this morning and they have adhd so.. maybe don’t
adhd is a legitimate disorder and adults can have it too, pass it on
ADHD kids grow into ADHD adults.
Markiplier IS right though, online ADHD tests are pretty bad.
“video games linked to adhd” gee i wonder why ppl with adhd would be drawn to an interactive medium that fully engages your brain and gives your hands something to do at the same time. it is a mystery
Meanwhile…
“Autism linked to caisin and gluten” kinda weird how soft squishy foods with nice textures and good mild tastes would appeal to people with sensory processing issues, I guess we better take those things away from them and swap it out with shitty rice-based knockoffs.
