you know I thought I could go a week without another US imperialism rant post but people HAVE to be dumb so here we fucking go
the absolute irony of americans denouncing communism as oppressive when some of the worst US war crimes were done in the name of “fighting communism”. there are countries that STILL suffer the pain and effects of this supposed capitalist freedom. the CIA has backed genocide, installed dictatorships, and tortures people to “stop the spread of communism”. it’s not a secret either–a lot of these actions were universally considered horrific and denounced outside the US.
what US intelligence and the US military has done to innocent people is so utterly terrible it makes you question the humanity of these people. seriously, if you aren’t aware of these topics and decide to do research, be warned.
oh yeah and the CIA fucking admits their anticommunism isn’t even aimed at bettering people’s lives. there are documents detailing US intelligence being dissatisfied with the economies of socialist countries not collapsing, and then planning interference to put citizens in a state of desperation so they hopefully turn against their government.
