it’s time for everyone to get a brain and learn that not everyone opposing or criticizing an oppressive government, or any government with issues in general, has good intentions. like, I can’t count the amount of US american liberals i’ve seen blindly support reactionary political figures in eastern europe they would see as insane at home just because of western media’s portrayal of eastern european countries and communism. think of it like this: qanon believers oppose the US government. opposing the US government is not a bad thing obviously, and everyone should. however, a qanon believer is not criticizing government institutions from a realistic perspective, and if in power would just want a dictatorship ran by their lord and savior trump. you wouldn’t exactly see a positive development from backing qanon. the US government has actually fucked itself over supporting ‘rebels’ of governments in other countries only due to the fact that they could benefit the US in some way, ignoring other things they do or believe.
