Tbh this is fast becoming the case in the UK too. There are so many places where it’s literally impossible to register with an NHS dentist, whole counties where none are taking on new patients.
I know people who haven’t seen a dentist in years, and yes, if it’s absolutely awful, you can get hospital treatment, but for e.g. A cosmetic chip that maybe makes it difficult to eat? You’re shit out of luck.
This is an especially bad issue when there isn’t access to clean water and people have to rely on corporate monopolies making drinks that cause tooth decay *cough cough Coca Cola*
