the craziest thing to me about the og heaven in supernatural is that none of sams heaven memories were like. good. they were the happiest moments of his life and they were depressing. an awkward thanksgiving dinner at your middle school girlfriends house. squatting in an abandoned house with a stray dog for two weeks. running away from your horrible life. does it not BOTHER sam that heaven for him like… sucks? and there are DEFINITELY people who have worse lives than him who have even SHITTIER ‘happy’ memories to relive forever. what do THEY get? the whole concept stinks. no wonder sam was so willing to toss himself into the cage. both options suck. if i was sam winchester and billie threatened to take me to the empty when i died i’d be like “you promise? 🥺”
