The state has nothing to do with being exploited by corporations. Plus we have a say in the government, at least in the United States, so that’s entirely different than corporations or businesses that we don’t have any real say in, and where people with more money get more votes, and usually the people with more money vote to get themselves more power…

Corporations don’t stop you from heading innawoods, building a cabin and planting grain.

No, companies aren’t a democracy, but at least individuals have the freedom to find other companies that better suit their needs and tastes. That’s voting with your dollars.
Back in 1964 the US Supreme Court made a decision that ruined government at the state level when they said that representation in both houses of the legislature must be apportioned according to population. Meaning the Senate isn’t one Senator per county like the US Senate is two per state. That ruined states like California with huge liberal population centers.
What does that have to do with socialism and communism? The liberal left is dragging the whole country to it whether we all want to go or not.
That would work if there was a free market, there isn’t.
