lol qanon believers are so embarrassed they’re starting to say the label “qanon” is a psyop and the correct label is something like “q and the anons”. maybe it’s time to admit you were just wrong. seriously, I know the word “cult” is misused a lot, but these people have actually created a cult-like belief system and structure where they see cutting off family members and losing friends as a necessary evil for q. or risking their lives fighting for q. who knew an anonymous 4chan user or users could create this mess–and i’d bet a good chunk of qanon followers now don’t even know qanon is from 4chan and just have this vague idea of “q” as an anti establishment figure (there’s a ton of older people into it).

also, lmfao at right wingers calling it a leftist psyop, the existence of qanon actually makes total sense as a psychological development in trump’s fanbase. i’ve talked about this before, but most trump supporters find more appeal in trump as a political figure than his actual policies. when people point out failures in his policies his supporters can’t handle it because they’ve formed a cult of personality around trump and are unable to accept that their god-emperor could ever betray them or do anything bad at all. this has actually happened with a lot of historical figures in the US, especially the founding fathers. so yeah, sorry, but qanon is most likely not a psyop and this mentality is nothing new.
