Chum is what fishermen throw into the sea to attract sharks and other large fish. The Chum Bucket may have actually been a hit if there were any sharks living in Bikini Bottom
Yeah I know but it’s wack how there’s a whole episode where Sponge goes to get organs and he goes to the chum bucket because chum is just,,,, organs,,,
And another episode where plankton mentions he gets chum from the alley ways and in trash cans. Basically whatever is discarded.
And the fact that writers on the show said the people of bikini bottom are vegetarians. They wouldn’t eat meat unless they are cannibals. Whenever they do eat chum, they usually become very sick (probably their bodies not used to it)
So plankton is very much selling murder victims corpses disguised as food. Bodies he found discarded and dumped in the trash or alley ways he then tries to sell as food.
