My newest editions are JLY44 (Dahlia) and JLY24 (Elliot). Both are in great condition and while they’re both JLYs, to me their story is set in the late 1800s Chicago. They love walking down main street and admiring the storefronts, hearing about the new inventions like the telephone and the new railroads, and going to the library together. Elliots family is in the railroad business, and Dahlias father owned a share in the oil business until the government shut it down, forcing her father to travel West in hopes of new opportunities.
I bought Elliot on Mercari for around $35. She is in great condition: her legs are barely floppy, her stuffing is full and intact, the marks were washable, and her eyes open and close with no problems. Her hair was tangled and matted and it was obvious someone did a downy dunk on her because her hair was greasy. The pictures the owner posted of her had her hair in a ponytail, so I didn’t know her hair would be so long. I love it! I cut some split ends and straightened her hair and voila!
Dahlia and Samanthas Tea Party Dress were bought off eBay (dahlia for $60 and the dress for $10). Dahlia is in perfect condition! Her tag says 2017, her skin and hair are perfect, she isn’t floppy at all, and there were no spots or marks on her at all. Overall, I am super pleased with the girls and I don’t think I’ll be getting more for a while. Thanks for reading!! 🙂
