gonna be real controversial and say that “natural” makeup culture is actually even more harmful than the over the top instagram makeup style
all makeup culture is harmful but like at least dramatic makeup allows for some self expression and creativity, these “no makeup” looks are such bullshit, were being told we have to wear makeup even when we’re not wearing makeup and it comepletely fucks with your perception of yourself and makes you dependant on makeup even when you’re just sitting at home or going for groceries, because we trick our brains into thinking that this is what we’re supposed to look like and that our natural face is not presentable
