🌿Bread tips!🌿

I find that making bread is really calming and nice!

It’s super easy, and all you need is a bowl and somewhere to bake it. It’s totally ok to buy bread mix and just add stuff you like to it as well, to make it your own!

Here’s some things I like to put in my bread (which is usually dark bread, I don’t really know what works with white bread):

🌿 Herbs! Whichever ones you feel like, rosemary or thyme is delicious.

🌿 Nuts and seeds. I personally prefer walnuts and sunflower seeds, but there are plenty of other delicious nuts and seeds!

🌿 Grated carrots or pumpkin, or pureed pumpkin or apples.

🌿 Eggs and milk! Kefir milk is great for making the bread rise better! They also make your bread more nourishing.

🌿 Beer also makes the bread fluffier.

🌿 Brown sugar or maple syrup.

🌿 Broth or stock, if you have some to spare!

You can also combine them if you want, it’s really fun to experiment with bread!

This is such a good post, I save it in my drafts and reference it all the time when I’m messing around with bread doughs and I finally have some good additions:

Mashed potatoes🥔 make a great texture. I just throw my leftovers (which I make with buttermilk) from the night before into my dough in the morning, also extra flavor if your mashed potatoes include roasted garlic, herbs or cheese.

Buttermilk

Infused oils or butters

And it’s been said before but cannot stress this enough, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano, sage, dill)

Also it’s worth it to make your own tortillas and they’re fun to do.

Very good addition!! Potatoes are super useful!
